For more than fifty years, Clarice has been a mainstay of Calgary’s vibrant arts scene as an actor, educator, choral singer, and community builder, playing a major role in creating and maintaining the bonds that bring and keep us together—just like a family. As a mother of three and grandmother of eight, Clarice well understands the importance of family.

- The triennial Honens International Piano Competition is the only event of its kind in Canada and is recognized as being one of the most prestigious in the world.
- The annual Honens Festival is regarded as one of Canada’s premiere classical music events. The 2019 Honens Festival was attended by a total audience of nearly 3,500 … many of them young music lovers.
- More than 70% of Honens’ annual expenses flow directly onto the stage offering world-class concerts and educational events in Calgary, Alberta, and across the country.
- Donor support is vital. Nearly 30% of Honens’ annual revenues come from individual donors in our community—people like you—more than the total amount received from government (municipal / provincial) and the corporate community combined.
- 50% of the concerts and events in the annual Honens Festival are offered to the general public free of charge.
