FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I get my tickets?
Print at Home – If you’ve selected ‘Print at Home’, you’ll receive two emails after confirming your booking. The first email is your receipt. The second will follow shortly with your e-tickets attached. Please check your junk or spam folder if your e-tickets do not arrive within the hour. Show these tickets on your device (or print out) to gain access into the venue.
Will Call – If you’ve selected to collect your tickets then please allow extra time to collect from our Box Office as it can get very busy before performances.
What do I do if I can't find my tickets?
If you have selected the ‘Print at Home’ option and haven’t yet received any emails from us we highly recommend double checking the spam/junk folder. If you have Gmail you may find our tickets in the ‘promotions tab’.
If you still can’t locate them then please call the Box Office and we will happily re-send them for you.
What do I wear?
There’s no strict dress code for Honens events, and we encourage you to wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident. Attire typically ranges from smart casual to more formal dress, with some guests opting for suits or dresses and others in more relaxed styles. We recommend choosing something comfortable for sitting through performances, so you can fully enjoy the music.
Open Air/Classical Adaptation: These performances are much more relaxed so please feel free to wear what you feel comfortable in. For our Open Air events please double check weather forecast as you may want to bring caps and sunglasses on a nice sunny day.
Can I buy tickets at the door?
Yes! Our Box Office is open at all venues at least 30 minutes before the show. Please allow yourself extra time to buy tickets. Also note that we can’t sell rush tickets if we are sold out therefore please double check on our website before attending to avoid disappointment.
What time do the doors open?
Unless stated otherwise on our website, the lobby will open at one hour before the performance begins, and doors to the auditorium will open 30 minutes before the show starts.
What happens if I'm late?
Don’t panic, our ushers will do their best to get you seated at appropriate breaks as to not disturb the performance. Please note that in some cases this may not be possible until completion of an entire piece.
When do I clap?
Applause is always appreciated at Honens’ performances. As a general guide, it’s customary to wait until the end of an entire piece before clapping (which can have several movements with short breaks between). When in doubt, simply follow the lead of the rest of the audience and feel free to show your enthusiasm at the end of a performance.
Should I switch my phone off?
Before the concert begins, please ensure your devices are silenced with screens dimly lit or turned off.
Can I take photos or videos?
Concerts: For most concerts, you can take a quick photo for social media, but please be considerate of your neighbours and remember that you cannot use flash.
Open Air: For our Open Air events please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like. We just ask that you share your experiences with us by tagging us on your social media posts!
I can’t make the event, can I get a refund?
Please see our refund policy here. We always first recommend trying to find a friend or family member who can take your ticket.
