2026 Honens Festival:
ECHOES & TRANSFORMATIONS

“All of us at Honens are delighted to welcome Winston Choi as guest curator of the 2026 Festival. Winston, 2003 Laureate, is a dedicated champion of Honens. His bold and distinctive vision for this year’s Festival brings together music and technology in an innovative and thoughtful way … a concept only a true Complete Artist could conceive!”

JON KIMURA PARKER

Artistic Director

“As curator and performer, I wanted this Festival to explore how musical ideas resonate across time. You will hear music from Johann Sebastian Bach and François Couperin alongside Maurice Ravel, Olivier Messiaen, and living composers, sometimes in surprising proximity so familiar works can be heard in new ways. Some programs use Steinway & Sons Spirio technology, allowing the piano to interact with recorded sound and expand its possibilities. I am especially grateful to share the stage with extraordinary collaborators including Honens Laureates Élisabeth Pion, Carter Johnson, and Nicolas Namoradze, Honens Artistic Director Jon Kimura Parker, Canadian jazz pianist Chris Andrew, and violinist MingHuan Xu. Together, we invite you into a festival of discovery, dialogue, and musical imagination. Join us!”
