Publicity Committee
Honens needs your help to promote its concerts and special events. The Publicity Committee will be responsible for distributing posters and flyers to popular cafés and stores around Calgary.

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities

Office Assistants

Office Assistants help with general administration on an as-needed basis. Office Assistants should be comfortable working with computers and multiple phone lines and will be trained in data entry. Often Office Assistants are asked to undertake mass mailings.


Production Assistants

Production Assistants set up and tear down events for Honens. These may include concerts, special fundraising events.  Production Assistants are reliable and able-bodied volunteers who are comfortable following directions, working in a team and lifting and moving sometimes large and/or heavy objects. The job involves lifting and moving equipment, tables, chairs, boxes, etc., but never pianos.


Transportation Drivers

Volunteer Drivers keep everything moving! They ensure that artists and special guests are met and taken to designated locations as prescribed in the transportation schedule developed by Honens staff. Members of the Transportation Committee are friendly, courteous and, of course, good drivers. A high level of professionalism and responsibility is required. They must possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record, have an excellent knowledge of Calgary and area, and demonstrate flexibility, punctuality and reliability at all times. Drivers will be required to drive their own vehicle. A police clearance is required of all drivers.
