Born in Hong Kong, Ka-Ling Colleen Lee began piano studies at the Hong Kong Academy for the Performing Arts at age 7. Since 2003 she has worked with Arie Vardi at the Hannover Hochschule für Musik und Theater. Lee performed debut recitals in Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Prague, The Hague and Amsterdam through the “New Masters on Tour” program of the International Holland Music Sessions. In 2007, she toured the United Kingdom, Finland and Hungary through the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office. Last season Lee performed with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Edo de Waart. Her all-Scarlatti CD is available on the Naxos label. She loves dark-chocolate ice cream.
