In 2009, Sohn made debuts at Glenn Gould Studio and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, and performed Chopin’s Second Piano Concerto with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. Early in 2010 he collaborated with the Mark Morris Dance Group in Boston. Upcoming concerto performances include the Chopin F minor concerto with the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra in New York, and the Mozart concerti K. 466 and K. 482 with the Jerusalem Camerata at the Tel-Aviv Museum of Art in Israel.
His first CD, a disc of Liszt transcriptions and etudes, was recorded at The Banff Centre in 2008 and was made possible through Honens’ Artistic and Career Development Program. His recording of J. S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations will be released in 2010 on the Honens label.
