Stanislav Khristenko

A graduate of the Moscow State Conservatory where he studied with Vera Gornostaeva, Daria Petrova and Maxim Philippov, Stanislav Khristenko now pursues an Artist Diploma at the Cleveland Institute of Music with Sergei Babayan. A semifinalist in the 2006 Honens Competition, Khristenko was also second prizewinner at the Takamatsu International Piano Competition that year. This January, he received first prize at the Bösendorfer USASU International Piano Competition. He has received grants from the Vishnevskaya-Rostropovich Foundation and the Russian Perfomance Art Foundation. Khristenko’s CD recordings have been released in the Netherlands, Germany and Russia. He admires the heights of achievement reached by aviation and art.
