Ran Dank attends The Juilliard School, where he studied with Emanuel Ax and Joseph Kalichstein to receive his Master of Music Degree. He now works toward an Artist Diploma with Robert McDonald. He has received The America Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships for his studies since 1992. In 2008, Dank received the First Prize at the Hilton Head International Piano Competition and Third Prize at the Sydney International Piano Competition. These competition wins led to a debut recital at Carnegie Hall and an Australian tour. He has appeared throughout the United States and Europe, including the Chopin Festival in Warsaw. Dank was inspired to study the piano at an early age thanks to a cassette of Rubinstein playing Chopin waltzes.
