Michael Bukhman

Michael Bukhman was the first graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music to receive a Bachelor of Music Degree with honours in Piano Performance. He has since received a Master of Music Degree at The Juilliard School as a student of Robert McDonald, and is completing a Doctor of Music there as a C.V. Starr Doctoral Fellow. Bukhman has performed in recital in Turkey, Israel, and across North America, including performances at The Yellow Barn Festival in Vermont this summer. Born in Azerbaijan, he moved to Israel at age six, when he began playing the piano. He then moved to the United States in 1998.
