A native of Long Island, NY, Michael Brown attends the Juilliard School of Music as a double major in piano composition where he studies with Jerome Lowenthal and Samuel Adler. WQXR has broadcast his performances and compositions in the USA on “Reflections from the Keyboard” hosted by David Dubal, and on Robert Sherman’s “Young Artists Showcase”. Brown performed this summer at the Steans Institute for Young Artists at the Ravinia Music Festival and at the Mostly Mozart Festival in New York. A co-creator of a contemporary music series, New Paths, New Music, which showcases student composers in New York, he likes to relax watching Woody Allen films, and fuels his creative energies with Thai food.
