Kirill Zwegintsov received first prize at the 2008 Kiefer Hablitzel Competition in Berne, Switzerland. Born in Ukraine, he studied at the Lysenko Special Music School and the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy in Kiev with Boris Archimovitch. He has studied with Tomaz Herbut at the Hochschule der Künste Bern since 2005. Zwegintsov performed this summer at the Menuhin Gstaad and Les Sommets du Classique Festivals in Switzerland. Other performances have taken him to Germany, Poland, Russia and Ukraine. He thinks J.S. Bach has never written a bad note and loves french fries.
