Chun-Chieh Yen has performed in leading concert venues worldwide, including Salle Cortot in Paris, Grand Philharmonic Hall in St Petersburg and Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York. At age 13, he was the youngest performer to appear in recital at Taipei’s National Concert Hall. He has appeared at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Braunschweiger Kammermusikpodium, the Holland Music Sessions, Sarasota Music Festival and the Piano Festival Ferruccio Busoni. A student of Vladimir Krainev at the Hannover Hochschule für Musik und Theater, Yen received a full scholarship in 2007 to attend the Colburn Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles, where he studied with John Perry. He loves camping, and avoided being eaten by bears in Yosemite Park this summer.
