Application Screening Jury
The Application Screening Jury evaluated close to 150 applications and chose 90 pianists to advance to the first public stage of the Competition.

First Jury
The First Jury met at The Banff Centre after all Stage One performances to select 21 pianists to advance to the Quarterfinals of the Competition. The Jury based its decisions on videotapes of Stage One recitals in Calgary, Munich and New York.
